About the project
What it is
A good riddle is more than a question: it is a way of lingering with an idea until, suddenly, everything clicks into place.
Riddle of the Day brings together logic riddles, mathematical puzzles, and compact thought experiments selected with one simple criterion: they should be worth your attention.
Why it exists
Classic puzzles and less-traveled ones coexist here under the same standard: clear setup, sustained interest, and a clean resolution.
The point is not only to reach an answer, but to enter that brief interval where intuition hesitates, focus sharpens, and structure begins to appear.
Who builds it
The site is created by Gabriel Sobrino, a mathematician trained at the Complutense University of Madrid. At heart, it follows an old conviction: good riddles do more than entertain; they shape a way of thinking.
More than a pile of enigmas, the aim is to build a place worth returning to: an archive of logic and math challenges, curated with respect for the reader’s intelligence.
Editorial criteria
Published riddles must satisfy strict standards:
- Clear statement: no hidden assumptions, no ambiguity.
- Defensible solution: no arbitrary language tricks.
- Elegance: the solution reveals structure, not just calculation.
- Calibration: difficulty is consistent with the stated level.
Hopefully
Hopefully this becomes one of those places you return to not only for answers, but for the quality of the questions.
If this project is valuable to you, you can support it. It helps keep the whole experience free for everyone.
Technology
Riddle of the Day is built as a lightweight, fast, and accessible digital project, with an architecture designed to publish, review, and maintain daily content reliably. The technical priority is a clear, respectful, low-noise experience: no intrusive advertising, no recommendation algorithms, and the content at the center.
Vision
Build a living library of mathematical reasoning in Spanish and English, with daily content, a thematic archive, and future personalized learning experiences.
